Carefully put together in the Ibanez Bass Workshop, the SRMS725 multi-scale 5-string bass offers bassists the extended range and snug feel of a scale length that graduates from 35.5 to 34 inches, resulting in a slightly tightened-up B-string that's easier to intonate for clearer lows while the higher strings have the more loose feel needed for supple licks and high melodies. At the same time, the Soundgear-style okoume body, bolt-on SRM5 five-piece maple/walnut neck and the 12-inch-radiussed, panga-panga fretboard combine to offer optimum playing comfort.

The SRMS725: Fishman Fluence Voice Select Switch

The two Fluence Bass Soapbar pickups from Fishman lay down a much cleaner foundation sound than traditional wound bass guitar pickups and have been wired up to a Fluence Voice Select 3-Way Switch to give you the pick of three different core sounds: classic, dynamic and Hi-Fi. Pop out the volume pot and the double-coil sound turns into single-coil sound, giving you even more options before you've even tweaked the Balancer pot to dial in your preferred blend of both Soapbars, or played around with the powerful 3-band EQ complete with bass and treble boost and cut options for the perfect low, mid and high balance.
